Wedding Photography at Oakwell Hall, Birstall

Oakwell Hall was built by John Batt in 1583 and is now run as a 'living museum' furnished as the Batt family home in the 1690s.  Charlotte Bronte was so inspired by the house during her visits in the 19th century that she featured it as "Fieldhead" in her classic novel Shirley.  Wedding ceremonies are held in the hall with the reception in the nearby historic stone barn.  There are beautiful well-tended gardens behind the hall for your wedding photographs and there is also extensive woodland surrounding the hall and gardens.  The word "unique" is often over-used with regard to wedding venues, but in this case there can be no better word to describe Oakwell Hall.  Please note that the Hall is not floodlit at night.  However, if you want a great night photograph to end the day's wedding photography we carry with us sufficient lighting to do it ourselves!  The perfect end to the perfect day.
